The STARK office is an expression of the firm’s values: collaboration, authenticity, and creative boldness. Every element of the design is shaped to encourage connection, within the studio and with clients, ultimately creating spaces that support dialogue, shared focus, and collective making.

A rich veneer wood palette grounds the interior, thereby creating a tactile counterpoint to the exposed mechanical ceiling above. In contrast rather than concealing structure and systems, the design brings them forward, allowing them to add to the architectural language with honesty and clarity. Meanwhile the layout supports a range of working styles. At its center, an open collaborative studio forms the heart of the office, encouraging informal exchange. Adjacent to this, breakout rooms provide moments of quiet focus, while glass-enclosed conference rooms balance transparency with privacy.

In addition, supporting spaces, including a locker room and thoughtfully designed washrooms, are integrated with the same attention to comfort and function. At the core of the studio is an expansive sample library, housing a curated collection of tiles, flooring, finishes, and hardware. As a result, this tactile archive connects material research directly to the design process, reinforcing STARK’s holistic, hands-on approach. Finally, custom furniture and lighting further unify the space, while felt wall panels and a sculptural felt ceiling feature soften acoustics and anchor the studio visually.
